February Favourites

That's it Februarys over so that means for you guys a new blog post, without me going on and on lets just jump right into it.

The first thing I'm going to talk about first is skincare. I've been wearing fake tan a lot so that means I've had to exfoliate my skin too so the one I've been using is the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body exfoliator with smashed brown sugar, Sweet lime, Almond oil and Macadamia Grains and honestly this does smell like Lime its one of the best smelling things Soap and Glory have done. After using the scrub I like to use the Zoella beauty soak opera and im not just saying this because I like Zoella's videos but this smells soooo good it smells like vitamin E, Shea Butter and Aloe extracts but honestly I just think it smells like Shea Butter. As most of you know when you come out the bath/shower your skins a bit dry and my skin has been the driest its ever been :(. So after looking around in my body box ( I have a box full of body stuff) I pulled out two that I feel work really well for my skin and they are the Soap and Glory Smoothie Star with Almond, Cocoa , Yogurt, Oats and Honey and OH MY GOD if this was an actual smoothie I would 100% drink this...is that bad? and the Vaseline essential moisture pure oats extract this smell takes me back to when I was about 20/21 ish... I seem to like the smell of oats this month...

Next up is hair and honestly my hair has been shit and I mean shit. Its felt lifeless, dull, dry and greasy all at the same time. Can your hair even be all of those? But after using these products I have found that my hair feels a wee bit better but still not 100% yet but the products I've been using are the Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey treatment shampoo and conditioner, the Loreal Kids Pear Detangaler and the Primark hask Argan Oil from Morocco. You're probably wondering em why is she using something for kids and that is because my hair gets tangled really easily and I mean easily I tie it up take it out and oh look a big clump of hair at the back of my head.

Next  is teeth I have been trying for sooooo long to get my teeth looking a wee bit whiter so I have been using the Arm and Hammer baking soda minty toothpaste gel Brilliant Sparkle and I like to use this before I use my Macleans white and Shine and I know this sounds daft but I love the feeling this has on my teeth, and lastly is Aqua Fresh Extra care mint breeze alcohol free and I love this it does have a wee bit of a burn to it but it works well.

I had mentioned that my body has been feeling dry but my hands have been super dry. Every time I wash my hands they just feel so tight now just not healthy so I have been using the Soap and Glory Hand dream Number 1 formula super cream and this smells like grapeseed, macadamia and shea butter... I think there's a smell theme in this post. Up next is nails I know I said in my blog post last month that I was loving Essie Fiji and I again this month I am, it is just this beautiful off white pink colour that looks amazing on any skin tone. Along with Fiji I have been loving the Boots own Nails acetone free nail polish remover... I know how can I be loving a nail polish remover? well I hate the ones with acetone as I feel it ruins my nails.

This is annoying because the nail polish is coming off as this blue sort of colour.

 

 



Now my favourite part make up Ive not really been grabbing much this month but I have been grabbing the Match perfection foundation by Rimmel in the shade ivory this works for me when I'm on my third or fourth day of tanning and for when Im just going to the gym or a class ( and by class I mean Spin class, Metafit and Step tone). Another foundation is again another Rimmel foundation and that is the Lasting finish nude 25 hour... I don't actually know if this foundation last for 25 hours as I take my makeup off at night.

My MAC Palette

In one of my post I mentioned that I have 21 MAC eye shadows...yes 21 why? you may ask well because I do...I love the colour pay off, how long they last with a paint pot and how well they blend with each other. As well as the two palettes I have I also have the MAC Cool Neutrals palette. I like this palette as I think the colours work well on my eyes if you haven't seen what it looks like I will either leave the link here or I will post it below along with the palettes I have made up.

As you can see from the picture above I have done this palette from light to dark, in order from left to right
Vanilla -  an ivory with slight pink undertones
Phloof - very light, pale pink
Orb -  soft, pink-peach
Brule - a soft creamy beige
Shroom - a beige with shimmer
Dazzle Light -a neutral with shimmer
Ricepaper -peachy gold with shimmer
Naked Lunch - minimal pink with shimmer
All That Glitters - beautiful pinky/peachy champagne
Malt -  soft pinky beige
Wedge -  mid tone taupe brown
Honesty - a very very light taupey beige with copper glitters
Antiqued - medium-dark red toned brown
Embark  - dark red brown 
Mystery - grey toned brown

Out of all the shades I have in this palette I have to say that my top 5 most used are Vanilla, Ricepaper, Naked Lunch, All that Glitters and Wedge I sometimes use all five all as an eye look.

Next up is my Gray and Black palette. I plan on getting a few pink and purples to fill up the rest of this palette.  Again from left to right

Silver ring - Mid- toned silver
Typographic - Asphault Black
Carbon - Intense Black
Black Tide - Black with silver sparkle

My Top 7 Mac Products

Since my boyfriend is at work / training I decided that I would try and do a few blogs for you guys as I keep saying I'm going to upload one and never do you guys will be getting 2 or 3 blogs depending on how long this one is going to take me... so lets get started

This was hard for me to do as I LOVE MAC... but I've managed to find my top 7 with some of the products I've brought with me. The first is product is going to be the MAC studio Fix foundation which I had previously mentioned in my January Favourites.



 These are only 2 of the 4 foundations I own by mac but I love the fact that these are a medium to full coverage. I personally love a full coverage as I feel I have bad skin (I have naturally red cheeks and hate how tired I look with out a full face of makeup). These foundations also have a nice smell to them I feel they smell minty... if you own a MAC foundation you will know what I mean. Oh I almost forgot the shades I have are NW10,NW15,NC15 and NC20...my NW's are from when I'm not tanned and my NC's are from when I'm tanned.

Second is my Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NW20, This concealer is perfect with NW15 as it gives a really nice under eye highlight. I also like to use this just as a concealer. This is a thicker consistency from the other MAC concealers I really want to the Studio Finish concealer...so maybe once I've used this one up I'll pick it up and let you know how I get on.

In third place is mac blushes I have about 6...I think but again I only have 3 with me the blushes that I own are, Well Dressed, Dame, Flure Power, Coy Girl, Prism( but I use this as a blush) and two Mineralise blush in Dainty and Gentle. The 3 I have with me are Fluer Power, Prism and Dame. I like Flure Power as it gives me a really nice look to the cheeks as if I've been out side and come back in again. Prism for me is an amazing bronzer as I have naturally pale skin so this works well for me, even when Im tanned this just gives my face a wee bit of dimension.  

Fourth is Mineralise Skinfinish's in the shades Soft and Gentle (as you can see I have two because im slowly running out of my older one) and Gold Deposit...as you can see I don't really use this but I feel during the summer when I use a darker tan ( I fake tan) I will be grabbing this a lot as a bronzer to get a darker highlight for my face but the one I use a lot is...yep you guessed it its Soft and Gentle I like to use this on my forehead, down my nose, on my cupids bow and on my chin.  

 



Fifth is lipliners I know you cant see what ones theses are very well so I'm going to include swatches underneath (either on my lips or on my hand). But the colours I have are Shock value (pro longwear), Nightmoth, In Synch and Boldy Bare.

Shock value is this gorgeous bright pink and looks amazing with Candy Yum Yum. Second is Nightmoth which is a really dark plum colour and can look good either alone or with Heroine ( which you'll see a swatch of next). Third is In Synch this gorgeous pink with a yellow tone underneath and looks amazing with Hue by Mac ( again im at my boy friends so I don't have this lipstick with me but I will be doing a Mac lipstick collection for you and I promise I will so stay tuned for that...it will be up Saturday) and lastly is Boldly Bare, a lot of people think that this colour wasn't popular before Kylie Jenner decided that fuller looking lips was a thing...(I'm pretty sure my mum was rocking a nude lip when she was my age...)any way this is a really nice red toned brown and again can be worn alone or with a few mac lipsticks.

This part is my favourite  LIPSTICKS!!! as I have previously said I have a lot of mac lipsticks off the top of my head I own 19..yep 19...I just love MAC lipsticks. I have 3 with me just now but as I said I will be going a blog post on Saturday of all the colours that I own. the three that I have with me are Pink Nouveau, Velvet Teddy and Heroine. Out of these 3 my favourite is Pink Nouveau it is this gorgeous bright pink colour and again looks amazing on any skin tone. Next up is Velvet Teddy which is this pretty deep toned beige that looks amazing with Boldly Bare and last but not least is Heroine which as you can see is this amazing bright purple and I love it I know I said in my pervious blog that I love pink lipstick but Im head over heels with this one.

I know this picture doesn't show off the colours very well but I promise Saturdays blog will be a lot better.

 

 

And last but not least is eye shadow ( I will probably do a more in detailed post on all the eye shadows I have and do swatches on my eyes...obviously) I know I keep saying this but I just love mac eye shadows I have different ones ranging for off white, to cream to brown and blacks. I also have mattes, frosts and shimmer shade in these palettes as you can see I need to fill up the dark palette and I was thinking of getting purples and pinks.

What Mac colours would you guys recommend? I was thinking about getting pinks and purples what do you think? Also what are your favourite mac products?

January favourites

 

 So for the past 3 hours I've tried to type this I got it all finished and it some how deleted its self so here I go again...

As we are half way through February I've decided that its better late then never to give you what products I was loving last month. I'm just going to put wee disclaimer here now and say that a lot of the products ive been using are by MAC purely because I love MAC...with that being said lets get started.



I have dry skin, so I like to make sure its pretty much smooth all the time, so I like to use the Boots facial exfoliating sponge along with the boots facial wash in the morning and at night. After I've used the face products in the morning I like to use a thick layer of  Nivea soft face, body and hands before I apply my make up I then use Nivea crème after I take off my make up at night because this is a thicker moisturiser I only apply a thin layer at night and wake up in the morning with nice soft skin.

  Now on to my favourite part of this blog MAKE UP!!!!! The first product(s) I'm going to talk about is Foundation and mine has to be MAC studio fix foundation in the shades NC15 and NC20 for when I'm tanned, I love the smell of MAC products.

 

 



 

 

 My other face products include MAC's Prism, Dame and Soft and Gentle. I like to use prism to contour my cheek bones to make my face look a wee bit smaller, I also use Benefits Hoola Bronzer to give my face wee bit warmth. I like to use Dame on my cheek bones this just gives a healthy look to the cheeks. lastly I like to use Soft and gentel to give my hair a nice healthy glow so I like to use this on my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, on my cupids bow and on my chin. I know my Soft and Gentle looks a bit funny but I do have a back up so as soon as I use this one up I will be using that one.

 

 

 

In September I decided that i would start my mac eye shadow palette, I have 21 eyeshadows and I'm in love with all of them but the ones I seem to be grabbing are All That glitters, which is this gorgeous champagne shimmery colour( its the 9th eye shadow in my palette) and I like to put this all over my lid and this looks amazing on anyone with blue eyes, the next shade is Malt which is a brown/ taupe colour and I love using this in my crease to create a deeper looking eye( right next to All That Glitters). The final colour Wedge and I like to use this as my eye brown colour (I will be doing a blog post on this eye make up look soon so keep your eyes peeled for that).

 

 

 

 

 

And finally lips if any of you reading this know me you will know I'm a pink lipstick kinda girl so I decided that in January that I would try a different look on my lips ( yes I know that sounds silly but I LOVE pink lipstick). The lip stick combo that I have been loving is MAC's Boldly Bare and Velvet Teddy ( people were wearing this before Kylie Jenner made this a BIG THING!!!!) I also like to pair these two with MAC's pro longwear lipglass in Patient Please ( I'm currently at my boyfriends so I don't have that with me just now but if you like I can show you what lip combos I've really been loving)

 

 

 

So now onto Random favourites, at Christmas I asked my mum for Disney Dvds yes you read that right DISNEY DVD'S, I know some of you will be thinking em How old are you? I'm 23 and love Disney but the dvds that I have been watching this month are Frozen, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians and Tangled. Another dvd ive been grabbing is my Big Bang Theory Seasons I own 1-7 and I cant wait for the 8th to come out.. I just don't like watching it on TV as I cant really follow it ( im currently watching Season 1 while I type this). Now onto something I really love FAKE TAN!!! I hate being pale as I think it makes me look well bigger! :(, any way the Fake tan Ive been using is St Moriz now this does smell like biscuits but if you have a boyfriend that loves the smell of them then hey your in luck! Second to last is my  Nicki Minaj Onika perfume I just love the smell but don't ask me what it smells like as Im not good at describing scents, and finally nail polish I have been loving Essie's nail polish in Fiji to me this is the perfect soft pink/white shade and looks great on any skin tone.
